RISE - Year Two in Review

RISE Up!

Over the last couple of years, Seneca High School students have been privileged to be a part of the new and incredible RISE program that Mr. Slutz and Mr. Adams have developed.  Students from each grade level are given the opportunity to be recognized and rewarded through their monthly and yearly achievements at different assemblies and morning announcements. The thoughtful incentives and acknowledgments not only motivate students to strive for excellence but also create a positive and encouraging environment. Seneca High School feels that with the success of our RISE  program we have made a significant impact on our school community, as well as, our student and staff partnership.

The positive effects of the RISE Program are evident in the increased enthusiasm and engagement among students. We are confident as we move into the 2024-2025 school year, some of the small changes in the program will only ignite this program's purpose even more.  It’s fantastic to see students setting higher goals for themselves, knowing their efforts will be acknowledged. From our monthly drawings for perfect attendance and no missing homework, to the Gold status field trips. we are excited to see those students’ acknowledged in our assemblies for their hard work and attention to details.  This program has encouraged a sense of healthy competition and camaraderie, encouraging students to Be Here, Be Ready and Be Accountable.

The administration is constantly improving The Seneca Way through staff professional development, student enrichment activities, and an educational program that is rich with Vocational and Dual Credit College course offerings.  Our teachers, administration, and the Board of Education have found innovative pathways to prepare our students for an exciting future after Seneca High School.  At every Board of Education meeting, we honor our Students of the Month, but we have also been honoring staff members and students with feats of “Success at SHS.”  The hallways of Seneca High School have a fresh look to them, that celebrates Success at SHS and beams with Irish Pride.  This Fall, when Irish fans see the new gymnasium for the first time, they will be excited to see the recent additions to the hallways, from the Irish Pride and Seneca Way murals in the Commons, the FFA celebration wall, and the historic Athletic Hallway on your way to the new gym

Once again, thank you to our staff, our RISE leaders, and students for their outstanding dedication to their academic success.
