Job #1 - CTE Paraprofessional

Seneca High School is seeking a teacher's aide for its Career & Technical Education courses.  This position will assist the certified teacher in areas such as, but not limited to, automotive mechanics, welding, agriculture, small engine repair, introduction to technology, wood shop, etc.  The successful candidate must have or be willing to earn a paraprofessional certificate, which Seneca High School can help the successful candidate with completion.  The candidate must be a team player with an ability to successfully work with students in trades and technical setting.  This position will report to the Principal and could be full or part time, dependent upon the successful candidate and administrative need.  Salary is commensurate with experience and benefits are dependent upon the employment status, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Job #2 - Part-Time Weekend Custodian/Maintenance

Seneca High is seeking skilled, reliable individuals to maintain grounds, perform general housekeeping duties, provide support for co-curricular set up, and other duties as assigned.  This is a part-time weekend and as needed position.

Job #3 - Security Monitor 

Seneca High School is seeking a part-time (5 hours per day) security monitor to provide a measure of security during the school day.  Security Monitors are responsible for general supervision of school buildings and grounds.  Tentative shift is 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM.   Ideal candidates are responsible, vigilant, and positive individuals with good decision-making abilities.  Excellent attendance is necessary.  Experience in a security related field is helpful, but not a requirement.

Candidates must hold a valid, registered Illinois professional educator license. The ideal candidate will build a program of excellence by crafting lessons where students are actively participating in challenging tasks to develop cognitive skills through reflective thought, analysis, problem-solving, evaluation, or creativity and where students apply core knowledge, concepts, or skills to solve real-world problems characteristic of its discipline.
