Job Openings at Seneca High School

Seneca High School has an immediate opening for an IT Systems Administrator:

Seneca High School is accepting applications for a full time IT Systems Administrator to assist the district Technology Coordinator in maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading hardware and software for the district’s technology. Performance responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Develop technology skills & provide technical support for all faculty and staff where customer service is paramount;
  2. Diagnose and perform computer workstation/server repairs;
  3. Maintain systems, including, but not limited to: Firewall, VMWare, VLANs, Active Directory, and Group Policy;
  4. Install, maintain, and update all software;
  5. Security and access control to all district computer systems;
  6. Preventative maintenance for all hardware in the District; 
  7. Knowledge of basic programming skills and;
  8. Coordination with Seneca High School Irish Live, Sports Entertainment Media, Student Help Desk.

There are two openings for the 2025-2026 school year.  We are in search of a Math and Science Instructor for the coming new school year.  

Opening #1:  Math Department

Seneca High School, a certified "GREAT PLACE TO WORK," is seeking for its Mathematics department an honest, highly-competent, caring, reliable, self-motivated, flexible, and collaborative instructor who regularly goes above and beyond her/his duties. Candidates must hold a valid, registered Illinois professional educator license with a content specific endorsement in Mathematics and an endorsement in HS- Grade 9 through Grade 12.  The ideal candidate will build a program of excellence by crafting lessons where students are actively participating in challenging tasks to develop cognitive skills through reflective thought, analysis, problem-solving, evaluation, or creativity and where students apply core knowledge, concepts, or skills to solve real-world problems characteristic of its discipline. The teacher utilizes a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of diverse learners. A respectful and safe learning environment reflecting the district’s core values, the classroom should imitate a lab-like setting.

Seneca High School offers dual credit courses.  As such, candidates will have an opportunity to teach, and/or grow into a Dual Credit Certified instructor.
 
There are extra-duties (athletic or club sponsorship) opportunities.

Opening #2:  Science Department

High School Science Teacher Needed.  Seneca High School, a certified, "Great Place to Work," is seeking for its Science department an honest, highly-competent, caring, reliable, self-motivated, flexible, and collaborative instructor who regularly goes above and beyond her/his duties. There are extra-duties (athletic or club sponsorship) anticipated with this opening.  Opportunities exist for this position to possibly include co-teaching in other departments.  Specific science assignment will be finalized with the selected candidate's specialty.
