Job #1 - Athletic Trainer/Part-Time Maintenance & Grounds

Seneca High School is seeking applications for a combination position of Athletic Trainer and Part-Time Maintenance & Grounds.  Candidates must be properly certified in Athletic Training and also have maintenance & grounds keeping background.

To keep the District’s building and grounds in such a state of operating excellence that they present no problems to the educational program and to promote student safety while providing athletic training as well as injury treatment and prevention.

Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience, certifications, and qualifications.

Athletic Trainer Performance Responsibilities:
1.         Assist in the selection, fitting, and maintenance of protective equipment
2.         Provide on-site injury care and evaluation, with follow-up treatment/rehabilitation as necessary for injuries sustained by athletes
3.         Along with the physician, determination of when an athlete may safely return to full participation post-injury
4.         Maintenance of complete and accurate records of all athletic injuries and treatments rendered at the school
5.         Coordination between the Athletic Trainer and physicians to provide:
                                    a.  pre-competition physical exam and health history reviews
                                    b.  phone access to physician or paramedic
                                    c.  follow-up injury care
                                    d.  assistance on all health matters
6.         Coordinate game coverage, home and away
7.         Supervision of the athletic training area
8.         To be involved with the selection, stock, and maintenance of athletic training supplies and equipment
9.         Reports to appropriate Seneca High School staff, including but not limited to: Principal, Athletic Director, and Superintendent



Job #2 - Administration Secretary

Seneca High School is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as a 200-day administration secretary in the school's main office.  The ideal candidate will be a team player possessing outstanding character with strong interpersonal, organizational, and technological skills.  Salary and benefits are per negotiated agreement, which can be found at www.senecahs.org.

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Greet visitors and follow visitor sign-in procedures
  2. Maintain security procedures
  3. Answer the phone and direct calls appropriately
  4. Assist students, faculty, and staff with their needs as they come into the office, and supervise students when in the office area
  5. Monitor student attendance on a daily basis. Retrieve attendance calls and maintain student attendance books, programs, and forms required by the Illinois State Board of Education.
  6. Maintain substitute teacher log and call substitutes for faculty members
  7. Process free and reduced lunch records as required by the State
  8. Coordinate transportation requirements and schedule vehicles
  9. Maintain Special Education and general office files
  10. Maintain proper confidentiality and conduct guidelines in regards to students, faculty, and staff
  11. Assist in the preparation for parent/teacher conferences
  12. Prepare and maintain an updated Faculty Handbook, Student Handbook, and Emergency Handbook.
  13. Assist with registration, school opening and closing  
  14. Prepare Master Calendar
  15. Produce Student ID Cards
  16. Prepare correspondence and newsletters as directed
  17. Set up and organize employee recognition events
  18. Assist with the preparation of Graduation
  19. Assume responsibility for various State Reports as assigned
  20. Maintain student temporary records, logs disciplinary actions
  21. Assist with Discipline and Curriculum Committee
  22. Abide by the Risk Management Plan as established by the Board of Education.
  23. Perform other such duties as may be assigned

Job #3 - Social Worker

Seneca High School is accepting applications for a full time salaried school social worker beginning with the 2022-23 school year.  Under the direction of the Director of Special Services and Building Principal, the Licensed School Social Worker provides direct and indirect social work services to students experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioral problems that interfere with their performance in school, and facilitates communication among school, home and community providers.   

School Social Worker will address social and emotional needs of students grade 9-12, will meet with parents and staff as needed to assist students collaboratively, as well as meet with students individually and/or in small groups.

Qualified applicants must have a Master Degree and possess a current/valid Illinois Professional Educators License with an endorsement for School Social Work.

Salary and benefits are regionally competitive and will be based on education and experience.



Job #4 - Security Monitor

Seneca High School is seeking a part-time (5 hours per day) monitors to provide a measure of security during the school day.  Security Monitors are responsible for general supervision of school buildings and grounds.  Tentative shift is 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM.   Ideal candidates are responsible, vigilant, and positive individuals with good decision-making abilities.  Excellent attendance is necessary.  Experience in a security related field is helpful, but not a requirement.

Job #5 - Paraprofessional for Life Skills

Seneca High School is seeking a full-time individual paraprofessional for its Life Skills Program.  The ideal candidate will possess a positive, caring, and team-oriented approach.  Great attendance is critical for the success of the program.  The position will begin with the 2022-23 school year.  Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience as appropriately placed within the Collective Bargaining Agreement.



Job #6 - Part-Time, Permanent Dishwasher

Seneca High School is seeking a part-time, permanent dishwasher.  Dishwashers work 3 hours per day during the school year.  Food Handling Training is required.  


  1. Maintain a positive attitude toward the job, students, and other workers.
  2. Maintain the appropriate dress and clean uniform.
  3. Has knowledge of all jobs involved in cafeteria operations.
  4. Ensure health and safety standards are maintained through proper food handling and storage.
  5. Use all kitchen equipment in a safe, proper and efficient manner, and maintains the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  6. Confer with Cafeteria Manager on the dishwashing schedule.
  7. Clean all kitchen equipment daily, leaves the kitchen in good order, and does extra cleaning if needed.
  8. Abide by the Risk Management Plan as established by the Board of Education.
  9. Maintain proper confidentiality and conduct guidelines in regards to students, faculty, and staff of the District.
  10. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.
