The Shamrock Stop! is a student-run merchandising business that ties into the Business Concepts curriculum.
History of the Shamrock Stop!
The planning of the store was first discussed in the Fall of 2012. In February and March of 2013, the business concepts class visited Coal City High School and Serena High School to see how they operated their stores. This class, then developed a business plan and attended the Board of Education meeting during the Fall of 2013. The Shamrock Stop! had its grand opening on February 7, 2014. During the 2018-2019 school year, they purchased a heat press and started designing and pressing their own apparel items.
Items Sold
The Shamrock Stop! sells coffee, technology items and spirit wear. They also design and press spirit wear items for other clubs and organizations, such as shirts for Spanish Club, Scholastic Bowl, and Cross Country.
