Sangston, Officer Ken

School Resource Officer

Officer Ken Sangston has over 27 years of law enforcement experience. He has held the rank of Patrol Sergeant, Lieutenant, and most recently, Captain. He has performed various assignments including Detective, Crime Scene Technician, Entry Team Operator, and Emergency Management Coordinator. He retired from his previous department in July 2018 as Captain to join the Seneca Police Department and become the School Resource Officer at Seneca Township High School. He attended Joliet Junior College and is a 1992 graduate of Lincoln Land Police Training Center, Springfield Illinois. He is a NASRO certified Advanced School Resource Officer and an A.L.I.C.E. Instructor. He believes that all his diverse experiences in law enforcement has led him to be the School Resource Officer at SHS. Ofc. Sangston enjoys being part of the high school culture, helping students, speaking in the classroom, and providing a safe and secure campus. He and his wife Jennifer have three kids, one attending SHS and two attending college. He is an SHS assistant wrestling coach, Bass Fishing Team coach, and announcer at the Irish Football home games. He, his wife, and kids reside in rural Seneca.
