Starting TODAY through the end of the week, carnations will be sold for $2.00 during all lunch periods. There are four different carnation colors and each have a different meaning:

Pink - Like 💗
White - Friends 🤍
Purple - Secret Admirer 💜
There are only 45 carnations per color so sales will be first come, first serve. The carnations will be handed out on Thursday, February 12th during lunch. 🌸

The Fighting Irish Wrestling Team competed at IHSA Regionals in Coal City on Saturday. The Irish finished the day with three podium placers:
Raiden Terry - 1st Place at 120
Chase Rod - 3rd Place at 150
Landen Venecia - 3rd Place at 190

The Fighting Irish Basketball Team finished in 3rd Place in the TCC Tournament on Friday night, DEFEATING the Dwight Trojans 62-58. The Fighting Irish crashed the boards all night, led by Zeb Maxwell with 25 points and 17 rebounds. Brady Sheedy finished with 10 points, Cam Shriey had 8 points and 10 rebounds, and Brayden Simek provided another 8 points and 9 rebounds. The team will next be in action on Tuesday at Beecher. PROVANCE MAKES HISTORY 🏀
The Lady Irish Basketball Team defeated Dwight on Thursday night, 67-60. Junior Graysen Provance's 44 points helped the Lady Irish withstand a late-game push by the Trojans while also rewriting the SHS history books. Provance now holds Lady Irish Basketball's single-game scoring record, previously shared by her aunt Cindy Kaufmann and the late Veronica "Vern" Hutfles". Congratulations Graysen and great win Lady Irish! #IrishPride ☘️

Featuring a POWERFUL keynote by Jonelle Carter, this event connects students with local female leaders to tackle the real-world pressures of career-family balance, mental resilience, and the transition from student-athlete to life after high school.
Breakfast treats from CeCe's Bake Shop and Refuge Coffee&Co will be provided along with a grab and go lunch from Jimmy John's. This is a unique opportunity for your students to build the "soft skills" and confidence that separates followers from future leaders. The 2026 SHS Sadie Hawkins Dance will be held on February 21st from 7:00–9:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased in the SHS Main Office from February 9th-13th before school or during lunch, with single tickets costing $15 and couple tickets costing $30. Please see this flyer for more details!
The Scholastic Bowl Team faced off against Henry-Senachwine on Wednesday night. Congratulations to the JV team on winning both of their matches. Brady Fort led the JV team with 10 toss-ups while Ian Janke had 9 for the Varsity. The team will next be in competition at Dwight on Monday! #IrishPride ☘️

The Fighting Irish Basketball Team opened the Tri-County Conference Tournament on Tuesday with a 56-48 VICTORY over the Roanoke-Benson Rockets. A very balanced Irish attack was led by Brayden Simek with 16 points, Zeb Maxwell with 12 points and 9 rebounds, and Brady Sheedy with 10 points. Cam Shriey provided 8 points and James Zydron tallied 6 points and 7 rebounds to round out the scoring effort. The team will now advance to the semifinals against Marquette at 7:00 PM TONIGHT in Putnam County. Let's go, Irish! #IrishPride ☘️
