Tomorrow, October 17th, HR Imaging will be back to take pictures of all students, faculty, and staff that would like a retake or were not present the first time HR was here in August. Picture retakes will occur during 1st and 2nd hour in the SHS Auditorium. ☘️

HOSA Blood Drive 🩸

HOSA will host its first blood drive of the year next Friday, October 24th, from 8:00 AM–1:00 PM in the Irish Cove. Students can sign up by scanning the QR code or using the attached link. Community members are welcome to walk in any time to donate after checking in at the SHS Main Office. On Tuesday, the Lady Irish Volleyball team defeated St. Bede to advance to the Tri-County Conference Championship game on Thursday at Putnam County! The Lady Irish were led by Brooklyn Sheedy with 10 kills, Graysen Provance with 17 assists & 5 kills, and Tessa Krull with 5 kills & 5 blocks. The championship game against Henry-Senachwine is set for Thursday at 7:00 PM. Good luck ladies! #IrishPride ☘️

On Thursday, October 30th, from 8:00–10:30 AM, Seneca High School will host an Irish Female Forum at Refuge Coffee & Co.

Students will have the opportunity to hear from three inspiring guest speakers:

Sara Olson – Success Coach at Great Minds
Amy Zellers – Director of Nursing at Pleasant View Lutheran Home
Alyssa Ugolini – Owner of Refuge Coffee & Co.

Junior Piper Stenzel has been named SHS Athlete of the Week.
The Seneca High School Guidance Office will be hosting a FAFSA Completion Night on October 22nd at 7:00 PM with a Financial Aid Representative from IVCC, JJC, and an ISAC representative. Completing the FAFSA is a graduation requirement in the State of Illinois. Students who don’t complete the FAFSA must complete a separate opt-out form. HALLOWEEN CONCERT 🎃🎶

Join us on Sunday, October 26th for a spooktacular evening of music and fun! The Seneca High School Choir and Band will host our annual Halloween Concert followed by a Trunk or Treat. After the success of the event last year, we will be moving to the new gym and the baseball parking lot to accommodate a larger crowd. The concert will start at 6:00 and the Trunk or Treat will follow around 6:30. All students from our feeder districts are invited to dress up in their costumes and join in on the festivities! 🧛‍♀️🍬

Lady Irish Golf Sectional ⛳

On Monday, the Lady Irish Golf qualifiers competed in the IHSA Class 1A Sectional at Wolf Creek Golf Course hosted by Pontiac. The Lady Irish were led by a 3RD PLACE finish by Junior Piper Stenzel with an 81! This will be her 3RD TIME in as many years that she has qualified for the IHSA State Finals at Red Tail Run in Decatur. Junior Vivienne Cronkrite placed 19th overall with a season best 91, just missing the state berth. Senior Cam Stecken shot a 99 as well. Congrats to Vivienne and Cam on a great season and GOOD LUCK to Piper this weekend in Decatur! #IrishPride ☘️
