Seneca High School has recently changed school website providers to Apptegy. The website domain will remain the same (www.senecahs.org) but there is also a new app that can be downloaded on iOS or Android. The app features a live feed and events calendar that will allow community members to see all Seneca High School communications in one place and to personalize notifications they receive based on their interests. We are very excited for this new tool and think it will be much easier to keep track of your students from just the press of a button!

On Wednesday, the Fighting Irish Golf team competed at Dwight CC in the IHSA Class 1A Regional hosted by Dwight. As a team, the Fighting Irish narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Sectional after losing on a 5th-score tie breaker. Tuesday night, the Cross Country team hosted the Tri-County Conference meet out at the Land Lab. As a team, the girls finished in 2nd Place, only one placement behind Lowpoint-Washburn. Lily Mueller (5th), Lila Coleman (7th), Talia Jenkins (9th), and Julie Mueller (10th) were named to the All-Conference team for the girls. Today, Mr. Witte's vocational math class took a trip to Wilmington to tour the local 150 Operators training facility. Students learned a lot and now have a very good understanding of what they have to do to apply and what it takes to be a part of their union. The Penny War is a fund-raising activity during Homecoming week that each class & staff competes against each other in by “voting” for their class with pennies. Students & staff can subtract “votes” from their competitors by putting silver coins or paper money in their jars.
This year the Penny War was a huge success. A big thank you to all the students & staff who contributed to this year’s competition! Because of your generosity, local charities and food pantries will benefit. Together, we raised a GRAND total of $961.91! #TheSenecaWay ☘️

Congratulations to our 2 senior girls, Camryn Stecken and Brooklyn Szafranski, for completing their last regular season. They finished their varsity careers with a record of 46-4 after tonight's victory. They have been a part of 3 conference championships, 1 Regional title and 2 Team Sectional appearances so far! The Fellowship of Christian Athletes participated in "See You at the Pole" this morning. "See You at the Pole", the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Decades later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September. After this morning's prayer, students gathered in Mrs. Sandeno's room for breakfast! 🍳
