On Friday, the Fighting Irish Basketball Team picked up a Tri-County Conference VICTORY over the Putnam County Panthers, 51-36. The Irish were led by senior Cam Shriey with 10 points. Sophomore Colton Baudino added 9 points from behind the arc, while junior James Zydron chipped in with another 8. The Irish will be back in action on Tuesday in the SHS Main Gym, where they will take on the Reed-Custer Comets in Game 7 of the 2025 Shipyard Showdown starting at approximately 1:30 PM. Way to go, boys! #IrishPride ☘️

Seneca Township High School is delighted to present our 2nd Annual Christmas Program! This heartfelt initiative aimed to support families during the Christmas season by assisting with the purchase of Christmas gifts for children, ensuring each child experiences the magic of Christmas. On Wednesday and Thursday, we had the honor of distributing and delivering gifts. Through community partnerships, SHS faculty and staff, and collaboration with Seneca Grade School, we purchased Christmas gifts for 38 families, sponsoring a total of 90 children. Our partnership with The Village Church was instrumental in making this program possible! Thank you to the following donors for all of your support!

The Fighting Irish Basketball team picked up a WIN at St. Bede on Tuesday night, defeating the Bruins 45-37! The Irish were led by senior Brady Sheedy with 13 points. Junior Jesus Govea pitched in with 9 points and senior Brayden Simek added another 8. The team will be back in action at home on Friday to take on the Putnam County Panthers. Great job, boys! #IrishPride ☘️

The SHS National Honor Society have completed their annual toy collection for Toys for Tots! This year they were able to fill two boxes of toys using donations and money raised at basketball games on November 25th and December 5th. In addition, they were able to make a monetary donation of over $500 thanks to money raised by SHS staff. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year’s collection such a success. Great work, NHS! 🎁

Junior Raiden Terry has been named SHS Athlete of the Week after finishing on top of the podium at the Jim Boyd Riverdale Invite in Port Byron on Saturday! Congratulations, Raiden, and best of luck the rest of the season! #IrishPride ☘️

The Seneca High School Cheer team hosted their annual Holiday Cheer Camp on Sunday. We would like to invite everyone to come out this Friday, December 19th to see the girls perform during half time of Fighting Irish Basketball's Varsity game against Putnam County! 📣

RISE hosted our annual Holiday Social on Monday morning in the Commons before school started! Students and staff were greeted with decorated Christmas cookies and hot chocolate. It was the perfect way to kick off Finals Week on a positive note and get everyone ready for winter break! #TheSenecaWay ☘️
