The Lady Irish Softball Team DEFEATED the Midland Timberwolves on Monday, 10-0. Hayden Pfeifer was strong again in the circle, attacking the zone with 50 of her 61 pitches thrown for strikes. The Lady Irish were also led at the top of the order by Graysen Provance, Emma Mino, and Lexie Buis, who were a combined 9-12 at the plate. The team will now get a couple days of practice in before hosting Midland on Thursday. Way to go, ladies! #RollShrocks ☘️

On Sunday, our Irish IMPACT team hosted a pancake breakfast fundraiser to support our local Packs for Pals program. The pancake breakfast was a huge success, with $2,492 being raised to support Packs for Pals! That money will support the summer Packs for Pals program, which is run here at SHS, and will also help fund the program for the 2026-2027 school year. The pancake breakfast would not have been possible without SHS faculty, staff, students, and community members. A special thank you to Seneca BP for their generous donations, RISE, NHS, Student Council, FFA, FCCLA, HOSA, and the maintenance crew! #TheSenecaWay ☘️

Seneca High School is seeking a part-time dishwasher to join our team in the cafeteria. Dishwashers work 3 hours per day during the school year. Food handling training is required. If interested, please contact Stacey Gould at sgould@senecahs.org or 815-357-7048.

On Saturday, Chase McDaniel, Brady Fort, and Sophia Swift competed @ ISU in the I.D.E.A. (Illinois Design/ Drafting Educators Association) State Drafting Competition. Chase McDaniel competed in the 2D Machine CAD Division and Brady Fort and Sophia Swift competed in the Intro. Board Division. All three had qualified for the State Competition out of the IVCC Regional. Congratulations to Brady Fort for placing 3rd in the Intro. Board Division! #TheSenecaWay ☘️

The Lady Irish Softball Team wrapped up last week's slate of games with a 17-0 VICTORY over the Serena Huskers on Saturday. Graysen Provance and Emma Mino really got the team going in the 1 and 2 spots, going 6 for 6 on the day. The Lady Irish are playing with a lot of confidence right now and were really locked in all week to take care of business. They will be back on the road again TONIGHT for a TCC match-up against the Midland Timberwolves in Varna. Keep it up, ladies! #RollShrocks ☘️

Seneca Township High School to hold Timely Meaningful Consultation Meeting

On May 4, 2026 at 8:00 AM, a meeting conducted by Seneca Township High School District #160 will take place at 307 E. Scott Street, Seneca IL 61360. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the district's plans for providing special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools and home schools within the district for the 2026-2027 school year. If you are a parent of a home-schooled student who has been or may be identified with a disability and you reside within the boundaries of Seneca Township High School District #160, you are encouraged to attend.

The Fighting Irish Baseball Team stayed hot with a 7-2 VICTORY over the Serena Huskers on Saturday morning. The Fighting Irish jumped out ahead early with an aggressive 4-run 1st inning and played a very clean game defensively. Cam Shriey was also dominant in his 5 innings of work on the mound, only allowing 2 hits with no walks and 10 strikeouts. The team will hope to keep the streak alive with a return to Tri-County Conference action on Monday at Midland. Way to go, boys! #RollShrocks ☘️

The Fighting Irish Baseball Team DEFEATED the Beecher Bobcats at home on Friday night, 8-6! An outburst of runs in the 2nd inning and a couple of great performances on the mound by Landyn Ramsey and Brant Roe were all it took to secure the victory. The Fighting Irish will now look to make it a winning streak TOMORROW morning at 10:00 AM with a home match-up against the Serena Huskers. Keep it going, Irish! #RollShrocks ☘️

On Friday, the Seneca High School business club (Society of Entrepreneurship and Accounting Leaders) competed in an accounting competition at JJC, WINNING both the beginners and advanced level competitions. The Lady Irish Softball Team picked up a Tri-County Conference VICTORY over the Henry-Senachwine Mallards on Tuesday, 17-1. It was nice to see the Lady Irish bounce back with 14 hits after a tough day at the plate on Monday. Hayden Pfeifer threw really well and Emma Mino had a really nice day at the plate. The team will take a day off before hosting Henry at home on Thursday. Great job, ladies! #IrishPride ☘️

The Lady Irish Softball Team DEFEATED the Prairie Central Hawks on Monday, 3-2. The Lady Irish struggled at the plate but were able to find a way to get it done. Hayden Pfeifer really found her groove in the 5th, 6th, and 7th and was able to get the team out of some tough spots. Lexie Buis and Cam Stecken came through with some big swings to carry the offense. The Lady Irish will return to Tri-County Conference play tonight as they travel to Henry to face the Mallards. #IrishPride ☘️
