Today’s Homecoming theme was Wear Camo! From head to toe, the halls of Seneca High School blended right in as our students showed off their camouflage gear. While there are no home events tonight, the Boys & Girls Golf teams are in action at the TCC Tournament and all levels of the Lady Irish Volleyball team will take on the Bulldogs tonight in Streator! #TheSenecaWay ☘️
SHS Seniors,
In October the FAFSA will become available for seniors to fill out to try to get financial aid to help pay for college. To be able to do the FAFSA though, you must create an FSA ID that will act as your signature. You will need a parent to also get one.
To help, the Guidance department is going to have a meeting on Monday Sept. 29th during SST at 11:00. If you have your social security number on that day, come to the auditorium with your computer at 11:00 and we will help you get your FSA ID set up. Then you will also be able to go home and help guide a parent through the process. It is extremely important to have this all completed before you can do the FAFSA – and it takes a few days after you create it for it to be able to use.
If you have any questions, please see the guidance office. We also hope to see everyone at our first Financial Aid Night on Sept. 30th @ 7:00 in the SHS auditorium!
Today's Homecoming theme was Wear Disney! From the Hundred Acre Wood to the mouse that started it all, Seneca High School was even more magical than usual! ✨
TONIGHT the 2025 Mr. Irish Pageant (sponsored by TRUST) will be held in the SHS auditorium. Join us as some of SHS's finest brave the stage and wow us with their talents! Doors open at 6:10 and the show starts at 6:30. It is $3 to get in or you can bring 3 non-perishable goods. It is a night you definitely WON'T want to miss! #TheSenecaWay ☘️

Tonight the Lady Irish Volleyball team hosted the Reed-Custer Comets for our annual Volley for a Cure! This year, SHS honored and supported the Heckler family through a variety of fundraisers. Derek, his wife Brittany, and their two children, Cecilia and Ethan, were able to attend. Between the JV and Varsity games, all in attendance wearing a Volley for a Cure t-shirt took a picture on the court with the Heckler family in a show of support. Thank you to all our volleyball girls, coaches, staff, and fans that helped make tonight such a success. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Reed-Custer teams and fans for standing with us in this great cause. To the Heckler family, we wish you strength, comfort, and healing. Please know that we continue to stand beside you in this fight! ☘️
Today, SHS kicked off Homecoming Week with the RISE and Shine Pancake Breakfast! A big thank you to all our staff members who volunteered their time to make it such a memorable morning for our students.
The theme of the day was Wear Pink in support of the Heckler family and Volley for a Cure tonight. 💗 As a reminder: Freshmen & JV will both play at 5:30 (one in each gym) & Varsity will follow at 6:30. During the night, enjoy raffles, a 50/50 drawing, a money board, bake sale, and face painting. The Heckler family plans to attend, and everyone wearing a Volley for a Cure t-shirt will be invited onto the court for a group picture to show support. Come out to be a part of a great cause and follow along on social media as we continue to celebrate 2025 Homecoming Week! #TheSenecaWay #IrishPride ☘️

Freshmen Will be a separate stream on the Irish Live YouTube Channel.
