Seneca Township High School to hold Timely Meaningful Consultation Meeting

On May 4, 2026 at 8:00 AM, a meeting conducted by Seneca Township High School District #160 will take place at 307 E. Scott Street, Seneca IL 61360. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the district's plans for providing special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools and home schools within the district for the 2026-2027 school year. If you are a parent of a home-schooled student who has been or may be identified with a disability and you reside within the boundaries of Seneca Township High School District #160, you are encouraged to attend.

This Week at SHS.
The Fighting Irish Baseball Team stayed hot with a 7-2 VICTORY over the Serena Huskers on Saturday morning. The Fighting Irish jumped out ahead early with an aggressive 4-run 1st inning and played a very clean game defensively. Cam Shriey was also dominant in his 5 innings of work on the mound, only allowing 2 hits with no walks and 10 strikeouts. The team will hope to keep the streak alive with a return to Tri-County Conference action on Monday at Midland. Way to go, boys! #RollShrocks ☘️

The Fighting Irish Baseball Team stayed hot with a 7-2 victory over the Serena Huskers on Saturday morning.
The Fighting Irish Baseball Team DEFEATED the Beecher Bobcats at home on Friday night, 8-6! An outburst of runs in the 2nd inning and a couple of great performances on the mound by Landyn Ramsey and Brant Roe were all it took to secure the victory. The Fighting Irish will now look to make it a winning streak TOMORROW morning at 10:00 AM with a home match-up against the Serena Huskers. Keep it going, Irish! #RollShrocks ☘️

The Fighting Irish Baseball Team defeated the Beecher Bobcats at home on Friday night, 8-6.
On Friday, the Seneca High School business club (Society of Entrepreneurship and Accounting Leaders) competed in an accounting competition at JJC, WINNING both the beginners and advanced level competitions. CONGRATULATIONS to all who competed and to the following students for placing as individual winners! #TheSenecaWay ☘️

The Lady Irish Softball Team picked up a Tri-County Conference VICTORY over the Henry-Senachwine Mallards on Tuesday, 17-1. It was nice to see the Lady Irish bounce back with 14 hits after a tough day at the plate on Monday. Hayden Pfeifer threw really well and Emma Mino had a really nice day at the plate. The team will take a day off before hosting Henry at home on Thursday. Great job, ladies! #IrishPride ☘️

On Thursday, May 7th from 9:00 AM-Noon, health care professionals will be at Seneca High School offering sports physicals and/or meningitis vaccines to interested students in the Nurse's Office. Senior Matt Stach has been named SHS Athlete of the Week.
The Lady Irish Softball Team DEFEATED the Prairie Central Hawks on Monday, 3-2. The Lady Irish struggled at the plate but were able to find a way to get it done. Hayden Pfeifer really found her groove in the 5th, 6th, and 7th and was able to get the team out of some tough spots. Lexie Buis and Cam Stecken came through with some big swings to carry the offense. The Lady Irish will return to Tri-County Conference play tonight as they travel to Henry to face the Mallards. #IrishPride ☘️

The Lady Irish Softball Team was back in action at home on Monday for a Tri-County Conference battle, DEFEATING the Putnam County Panthers 13-0. With that win, the Lady Irish have wrapped up a very tough month of March at a PERFECT 10-0. The girls had some really nice approaches at the plate capped off by Kaylee Klinker’s 1st Varsity HOME RUN. The team will now travel to Putnam County on Thursday and to Marengo on Saturday for a triangular. Way to go, ladies! #IrishPride ☘️

Seneca Bass Fishing started their season on Saturday with one team traveling all the way to Lake of Egypt in southern Illinois. Addison Mann and Landon Hebel did an amazing job, finishing in 4TH PLACE out of 101 BOATS! This is a personal best for these two teammates. They finished with 14.6 pounds and 5 fish, and also weighed the 2nd biggest bass of the entire tournament at 4 pounds 14 ounces. Tomorrow they will compete in another tournament on the same lake. Congratulations Addison and Landon and keep it coming! #IrishPride ☘️

The Lady Irish Softball Team opened up their Spring Break with an 11-0 VICTORY over the Joliet Catholic Academy Hilltoppers at home on Saturday. Tessa Krull was dominant in the circle from the very first pitch and the Lady Irish offense followed suit with a 7-run 1st inning. The team combined for 10 hits with really good approaches up and down the lineup. The offense also featured 3 home runs, the last of which was a Tessa Krull shot off the scoreboard. The Lady Irish will now take a couple days off before welcoming Putnam County to town on Tuesday. Keep it rolling, ladies! #IrishPride ☘️
