The Seneca Bass Fishing team had a productive weekend despite high winds and cold temperatures. On Sunday, our team traveled to Clinton Lake to compete in the ICASSTT Clinton Lake Tournament. Our top finishing team was Lincoln Hebel and Camryn Chapman with 5 fish and 7.2 pounds which put them in 29th out of 80 total boats. Max Mancuso and Christopher Thompson also finished 53rd with 1.2 pounds and one fish. Great Job Guys!

WALK-OFF. The Fighting Irish Baseball program swept the Somonauk Bobcats in thrilling fashion on Saturday! The Varsity team showed some serious grit, battling back from a 4-run deficit to enter the 7th only trailing 5-6. After loading the bases, the Irish found themselves down to their last out before junior Tommy Watkins delivered a CLUTCH 2-run line drive to right field to cap off the comeback, 7-6! The JV team followed suit, overcoming a 5-run deficit of their own to walk it off on a wild pitch, 8-7. What a day for the Fighting Irish! #RollShrocks ☘️

On Friday, Mrs. Foster's Accounting students attended the Olivet Nazarene University Createur Conference and Pitch Competition. The students were able to network with entrepreneurs, attend a young entrepreneur panel, and watch the final pitch competitions. What a great way for these students to prepare for the new INCubatoredu course that each of them will be taking next fall! #TheSenecaWay ☘️

On Sunday, our Irish IMPACT team hosted a pancake breakfast fundraiser to support our local Packs for Pals program. The pancake breakfast was a huge success, with $2,492 being raised to support Packs for Pals! That money will support the summer Packs for Pals program, which is run here at SHS, and will also help fund the program for the 2026-2027 school year. The pancake breakfast would not have been possible without SHS faculty, staff, students, and community members. A special thank you to Seneca BP for their generous donations, RISE, NHS, Student Council, FFA, FCCLA, HOSA, and the maintenance crew! #TheSenecaWay ☘️
