4 DAYS TO GO! Today SHS welcomed the Class of 2029 during Freshmen Orientation. Students had a chance to practice for next month’s Irish Games, walk their schedules, and develop leadership skills with our guest speaker, Ted Wiese. They also signed their COMMITMENT TO GRADUATE that will hang inside the student entrance throughout the next four years. It is with great pride and renewed energy that I welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year at Seneca High School—a school grounded in tradition, driven by purpose, and committed to preparing every student for success.
At Seneca High School, “The Seneca Way” isn’t just a slogan—it’s our mission in motion. You can see it on the murals that adorn our hallways and it’s the mindset we bring to every classroom, every activity, and every interaction. The Seneca Way is about progressiveness, respect, accountability, and trust. It’s how we support each student to reach their potential in their Student Success Plan, while remaining rooted in the small-town values that make our school community exceptional.

🌟 Celebrating Progress: Facilities & Growth
This year brings several exciting facility improvements that reflect our ongoing commitment to excellence:
• ⚾ Brand-new turf baseball and softball fields now provide first-class spaces to match our competition gymnasium for our student-athletes to practice, compete, and build memories that last a lifetime in facilities that showcase the Irish Pride found in our community.
• 🌱 The addition of the FFA Land Lab building and upgrades to the existing building elevates our agricultural program, offering hands-on, career-ready learning opportunities in one of our community’s most vital industries.
• 🛣️ And of course, the long-awaited re-paving of Scott Street has created a more welcoming and safer front entryway to campus—something we’re all grateful for!
Each of these upgrades is a visible sign of progress—but they’re also an investment in our students’ futures, our community’s Irish Pride, and moments of awe at Seneca High School.

As we continue to enhance our facilities, we are equally committed to deepening our individualized approach to education. Our Student Success Plan isn’t just a checklist—it’s a personalized roadmap for every student’s pathway to individualized success, helping them align their education with their passions, strengths, and goals beyond high school.
Whether they’re pursuing college, a skilled trade, the military, or entrepreneurship, each student deserves a meaningful, relevant education—one that supports who they are and who they are becoming.
We’ll continue to grow this plan in the year ahead with the help of our exceptional teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff—all working together to ensure no student slips through the cracks.
