On Wednesday at Eastwood Golf Course in Streator, the Fighting Irish Golf team carded a team score of 178, finishing behind Streator (167). The JV team defeated the Bulldogs by one stroke, 216 to 217! The Irish will be back on the course tonight at Tall Oaks against St. Bede and Roanoke-Benson. ☘️

The Fighting Irish Cross Country team opened their season at the Morris Early Bird Invite last night. The girls varsity team finished 5th overall. Callum Wright ran the varsity boys race and finished 53rd with a time of 18:55.5. The rest of the boys ran the JV race and finished 4th as a team. Last night the Lady Irish Volleyball team secured a hard-fought win over a talented Peotone squad in three sets, 29-27, 23-25, 25-22! Brooklyn Sheedy led the Lady Irish offense with 11 kills, while Lexie Buis added 7 kills. Emma Mino set the pace with 20 assists and Graysen Provance contributed 10 assists and 5 kills. The team will next travel to Roanoke-Benson tonight to face off against the Rockets. Way to go ladies! #TheSenecaWay #IrishPride ☘️

On Tuesday at Wyaton Hills Golf Course in Princeton, the Lady Irish Golf team posted a team score of 219, finishing behind LaSalle-Peru (201) and Princeton (199). The team will be back on the road tomorrow at Prairie Central.

The Lady Irish Volleyball team opened their season last night with a win at Hall, defeating the Red Devils in straight sets, 25-21, 25-21! Senior Tessa Krull and sophomore Brooklyn Sheedy each tallied 6 kills, while junior Emma Mino added 12 assists and 11 service points. The Seneca Bassmasters competed this past Sunday in the Jake and Vern Tischer Memorial Tournament on the Des Plaines River. Of the 43 boats on the water, the Seneca team of Addison Mann and Landon Hebel placed 14th with 4 fish, and 4lbs 8oz. Thomas Watkins and Michael Kucinic were able to get 1 fish for 2lbs 2oz to get 26th place in the tournament and rescued one small bird out of the water. The Bassmasters will compete again next month at Clinton Lake. Great job everyone! #IrishPride ☘️
Picture Day Reminder 📸
Parents, don’t forget that Friday, August 29 is Picture Day for all SHS students! Photos will be taken in the auditorium by HR Imaging and will appear in the Seneca High School yearbook.
Students will be called out of class throughout the day for their pictures. If you did not receive an order form from HR Imaging, extras are available in the main office. Orders can also be placed online at hrimaging.com.
Picture Retakes will be held on Friday, October 17th for any students who need them.

The Fighting Irish Golf team was back in action at Silver Oaks GC in Braidwood on Wednesday. A HUGE congratulations to Coach Bryan Erickson for earning his 200th career boys golf coaching win! ⛳

YEARBOOK PICKUP
2024-2025 SHS yearbooks will be distributed during lunch on Friday for all students who pre-paid. Recent graduates may pick up their pre-paid copies from the main office during school hours.
Extra yearbooks will be available for $60 while supplies last. Please see Mr. Decker with any questions!
RISE hosted their first event of the school year today by inviting students to enjoy Tropical Sno during lunch!
