Congratulations to the Fighting Irish Golf Team for placing 2nd at the Streator Woodland 1A Regional at Wolf Creek Golf Course on Wednesday. Cody Malak led the Irish with an 81 which was tied for 3rd Place overall. Other counting scores were Cooper Thorson (84), Trent Powell (85), and Ethan Hasselbring (87). Seneca High School is hosting a Financial Aid Night on Wednesday night at 7:00 PM in the SHS Auditorium. The head of Financial Aid at Illinois Wesleyan University will talk about how the financial aid process works, give different scenarios to help explain it, and answer any questions that parents may have at this time. This meeting is mainly for parents of senior students, but it is open for any parents/students to attend to learn about the financial aid process.

The Village Christian Church is partnering with Northern Illinois Food Bank to host a mobile food pantry on Monday night in Seneca. The event will take place at Seneca Grade School South Campus and no registration, proof of income or I.D. is required.

Meet Ms. Tori Skelton! Tori is in Mrs. Read's ECE class. After graduation, she plans to attend Olivet Nazarene University to major in Secondary English Education and continue her volleyball career.

It was a cold morning and a hot day on the water for the ICASST Clinton Lake tournament on Sunday. The Seneca Bass Fishing team had 5 boats competing out of 56 total. There were a total of 224 fish weighed in the tournament, and of those 56 boats we took the following positions. Congratulations to all! #IrishPride ☘️

2. Weston Sticha / Bennett Gilbertson - 17th place with 4 fish and 7 pounds 6 ounces

The Lady Irish Volleyball Team stayed HOT on Wednesday night at home against Streator, picking up their 8th straight VICTORY in 2 sets, 25-17, 25-15! Graysen Provance recorded 6 kills while Brooklyn Sheedy and Franki Meyers added another 5 each to dominate at the net. Tori Skelton also tallied 3 aces and 10 total points from the service line. The Lady Irish were stellar on defense and did a great job of controlling the tempo throughout the match. The team will now take a week off before returning to TCC action next Thursday at Woodland. Mr. Decker and seven of our senior Yearbook students attended the IDEA Conference hosted by Walsworth (our yearbook company) at the NIU Conference Center in Naperville last Thursday. Students spent the day gathering fresh ideas and inspiration by learning about different themes, design styles, fonts, textures, gradients, and caption writing. We can’t wait to see how this crew brings the 2026-2027 school year’s best memories to life! #TheSenecaWay ☘️

The Tri-County Conference Boys and Girls Golf Tournament was held at Wolf Creek Golf Course in Pontiac on Wednesday. The Fighting Irish finished in 2nd Place as a team and were led by seniors Cody Malak (84, 4th Place) and Raiden Terry (88), who were both named to the TCC All-Conference Team. The Lady Irish were crowned TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS and all six members secured TCC All-Conference honors after finishing in the top six slots. The Lady Irish were also led by senior Piper Stenzel (87) as the Individual Champion! Congratulations to both teams on a fantastic tournament! #RollShrocks ☘️

On Monday, the Lady Irish Golf Team celebrated Senior Night before their final regular-season match against Somonauk. Five outstanding senior golfers (Aurora Weber, Aubree Barr, Haiden Lavarier, Vivienne Cronkrite, and Piper Stenzel) were recognized for their dedication and contributions to the golf program. The Lady Irish then shot a 191 as a team to defeat the Bobcats. The team will be in action again today in the U-High Invite at ISU's Weibring GC at 1:00 PM. Congratulations, seniors! #IrishPride ☘️
