On Thursday, the Lady Irish Basketball team wrapped up the 2025 Falcon-Irish Thanksgiving Tournament pool play with a BIG win over a talented Serena Huskers squad, 41-34. Junior Graysen Provance led the way with 18 points, while senior Cam Stecken and sophomore Kylee Rowley added another 7 and 6 points. With the victory, the 3-0 Lady Irish advance to the Championship Game on Saturday at 2:30 PM against the Manual Rams! GOOD LUCK GIRLS! #IrishPride ☘️

Fall Jazz Concert 🎷
Wednesday night, Mr. Windham and the SHS Jazz Band & Choir took the stage for their Fall Concert in the SHS Auditorium. The choir set the tone with three impressive selections, highlighted by standout solos from seniors Maddy DeGrush and Ayden Robinson. The band kept the rhythm going with four incredible pieces of their own. Featured soloists included Ethan Danek, Brooklyn Szafranski, Vivianna Barrera, and Lilly Pfeifer.
A special thank you to Mrs. Sarah Windham for accompanying the choir on piano, and to everyone who came out to support this immensely talented group of students. It was a wonderful evening of music that truly showcased the talent and dedication of our student performers! #TheSenecaWay ☘️

Tuesday night, the Lady Irish Basketball team defeated the Streator Bulldogs 50–14 in pool play of the 2025 Falcon–Irish Thanksgiving Tournament. The offense was a balanced effort, with junior Graysen Provance leading the way with 15 points. Seniors Tessa Krull and Camryn Stecken added 10 and 7 points, respectively. The team will take a day off before wrapping up pool play on Thursday against the Serena Huskers at 7:00 PM. Great job, Lady Irish! #IrishPride ☘️

On Monday, Seneca High School took five students to the IHSA Leadership Conference in Peoria. Held for freshmen through juniors, the event featured two dynamic guest speakers as well as small group breakout sessions that covered many aspects of leadership from the viewpoint of athletics. This was a great opportunity for our students and they all had a great experience! #TheSenecaWay ☘️

The Lady Irish Basketball team opened their season at home tonight with a 41-28 VICTORY over the Marquette Crusaders in the first pool play game of the 2025 Falcon-Irish Thanksgiving Tournament. Junior Graysen Provance had a game-high 21 points and Senior Tessa Krull added another 9 points to lead the Lady Irish. The team will next be in action tomorrow night in the SHS Main Gym against the Streator Bulldogs @ 7:00 PM. Great start ladies! #IrishPride ☘️

These freshmen students excelled when taking their Pre-ACT as 8th graders. The PreACT Rising Stars program honors students in the top 5% at the Distinguished Scholars level and the next top 10% at the Rising Scholars level. Meet Ms. Lexie Buis! Lexie is in Mrs. Read's ECE class. After graduation, she plans to continue her softball career while getting her nursing degree. After nursing school, she plans to attend another four year-university or medical school to become a doctor and a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist. "Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today."

National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes students based on their scholarship, leadership, service, and character. This month, NHS has been busy working to help with Packs for Pals and planning our toy drive for Toys for Tots.
