Congratulations to the 2025 SHS Homecoming Court! ☘️👑

Attendants will be escorted in the Homecoming parade on Friday, September 26th @ 4:00 PM. They will then be announced at halftime of the football game that night, where we will also crown the King and Queen! On Saturday at the dance, there will be a Coronation of the Court at 8:30 PM.

Seneca High School will be hosting a Financial Aid Informational Night with financial aid representative, Mr. Andrew Reddington, from Illinois Wesleyan University on Tuesday, September 30th at 7 PM. He will be going over all the in's and out's of financial aid from loans to grants to scams. This is a great opportunity to learn how to help you and your student best pay for college.

Tonight the Seneca Fellowship of Christian Athletes group went to the Aurora Feed My Starving Children facilities and volunteered their time to pack meals for children in need around the globe. We had a great group of kids give up their Saturday night to help others! #TheSenecaWay ☘️

TOURNAMENT CHAMPS 🏆 The Lady Irish Volleyball team took 1st Place at the Sandwich Invitational today with an overall record of 5-0. Congratulations ladies! #IrishPride ☘️

The Lady Irish Volleyball team defeated the Midland Timberwolves last night in 3 sets, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23! Sophomore Brooklyn Sheedy record 14 kills & Junior Emma Mino dished out 15 assists with outstanding effort defensively! The Lady Irish will next be at the Sandwich Invitational on Saturday @ 9:00 AM. On Wednesday at Cinder Ridge Golf Course in Coal City , the Lady Irish Golf team posted a team score of 198, defeating Coal City (230) and Plano (257). Junior Piper Stenzel (43) was the medalist for the match. The team will next be @ the Pontiac Girls Golf Invitational on Monday. Congratulations ladies! #IrishPride ☘️

On Tuesday at Highland Park GC, the Lady Irish Golf team (210) finished behind Downs Tri-Valley (183) but defeated Heyworth (213). Junior Piper Stenzel scored a 47 to lead the way for Seneca. The 2025 SHS Homecoming Dance will be held on September 27, 2025! There will be many activities throughout the week, starting with Powder Puff on Sunday, September 21st. Dance tickets are $25 for a single/$50 for a couple and can be purchased in the Main Office between 9/15-9/24. Friday night the Cross Country team hosted the 31st annual Twilight in the Woods Invitational at the Land Lab. The girls team finished 3rd overall with Lily Mueller medaling in 7th place. Talia Jenkins and Lila Coleman were also in the top 20 finishing 17th and 19th respectively. The boys team finished 5th overall and had two in the top 25---Callum Wright 22nd and Liam Baima 24th. All runners did outstanding with numerous PRs. Congratulations! #IrishPride ☘️
