Lady Irish Golf Sectional ⛳

On Monday, the Lady Irish Golf qualifiers competed in the IHSA Class 1A Sectional at Wolf Creek Golf Course hosted by Pontiac. The Lady Irish were led by a 3RD PLACE finish by Junior Piper Stenzel with an 81! This will be her 3RD TIME in as many years that she has qualified for the IHSA State Finals at Red Tail Run in Decatur. Junior Vivienne Cronkrite placed 19th overall with a season best 91, just missing the state berth. Senior Cam Stecken shot a 99 as well. Congrats to Vivienne and Cam on a great season and GOOD LUCK to Piper this weekend in Decatur! #IrishPride ☘️

The Seneca Bass Fishing team had a busy weekend. On Saturday, Max Mancuso and Lincoln Hebel placed 9th out of 20 boats with 3 pounds and 1 ounce at the Shabbona Lake Tournament. On Sunday, Addison Mann and Landon Hebel placed 20th out of 60 boats with 8 pounds and 2 ounces at Lake of Egypt. Addi Mann also had the 4th biggest bass of the tournament at 3 pounds 5 ounces! Great job everyone! #IrishPride ☘️

To increase safety for all attendees at high school sporting events, students in grades K-8 must now be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all home sporting events. This change in practice is due in part to an increase in incidents involving unsupervised K-8 students.

Although we want student participation at our home games, students must be supervised by a parent or guardian.

These changes are effective immediately and will be enforced at all indoor and outdoor home sporting events.

We appreciate in advance the support of our students, parents, and community. We understand this change in practice may interrupt normal plans for event attendance, but we want to ensure that all attendees have an enjoyable and safe experience at all Fighting Irish events.

Saturday morning, the Cross Country team ran in the LaSalle County Championship at Eastwood Country Club in Streator. The Fighting Irish finished in 2nd Place as a team for both the boys and girls! The top 10 individuals are considered "All County". Lily Mueller was the All County CHAMPION for the girls. Medalists included: Lily Mueller (1) and Lila Coleman (6) for the girls & Liam Baima (7), Callum Wright (8), and Brady Fort (10) for the boys. The team also had several PRs and a few season records! Congratulations to both teams on another great meet! #IrishPride ☘️

On Thursday, the Lady Irish Volleyball team defeated the Woodland Warriors at home in two sets, 25-18, 25-17! Graysen Provance dished out 14 assists, Brooklyn Sheedy recorded 8 kills, and Lexie Buis provided 5 kills & 4 aces to power the Lady Irish. The team will next be in action @ home on Monday against Wilmington. Way to go ladies! #IrishPride ☘️

Fighting Irish Golf Regionals ⛳

On Wednesday, the Fighting Irish Golf team competed at Dwight CC in the IHSA Class 1A Regional hosted by Dwight. As a team, the Fighting Irish narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Sectional after losing on a 5th-score tie breaker. Congratulations to Cooper Thorson (83) and Cody Malak (84) for qualifying as individuals for next week's Sectional! Conferences will be held in the SHS Main Gym. AS A REMINDER: This is the second of three parent engagement nights throughout the school year. If a parent attends all three nights (Curriculum Night, Parent/Teacher Conferences, and Student Success Plan Night), then next year's student fees will be waived! ☘️

TCC Cross Country Meet 🏃

Tuesday night, the Cross Country team hosted the Tri-County Conference meet out at the Land Lab. As a team, the girls finished in 2nd Place, only one placement behind Lowpoint-Washburn. Lily Mueller (5th), Lila Coleman (7th), Talia Jenkins (9th), and Julie Mueller (10th) were named to the All-Conference team for the girls. The boys team finished in 1ST PLACE, led by All-Conference performances by Callum Wright (4th), Liam Baima (5th), and Brady Fort (10th). Congratulations to both teams on a great meet! #IrishPride ☘️
