GLOW Girl 2026

On Thursday, Seneca High School and Jonelle Carter hosted over 175 female students and staff from SHS and 11 other area schools for our first annual GLOW Girl: A Women's Leadership Experience! The day focused on empowering young women to become better leaders, featuring a POWERFUL keynote by Jonelle Carter, as well as INSPIRING breakout sessions from community leaders Sara Olson, Karie Stecken, and Lyda Widmayer.

The topics of discussion throughout the day included building confidence, finding your inner voice, women supporting women, career-family balance, and resilience & grit. After lunch, a Q&A panel featuring our four speakers allowed students and staff the chance to ask questions about our speakers' careers and how they have utilized leadership skills to achieve their goals & aspirations.

THANK YOU to the following people, businesses, and schools for helping make GLOW Girl such an overwhelming success:

Our four amazing speakers for their invaluable insights (Jonelle Carter, Sara Olson, Karie Stecken, & Lyda Widmayer)
