2013-07-19 Laptop Rollout Information Letter

This message is for all parents and students from the administration of Seneca High School. 

In early June, I sent all parents a letter explaining the process Seneca High School will use when passing out laptops to students for the 2013-2014 school year.  In that letter, I encouraged each parent to contact the main office to secure specific meeting times for the distribution of student laptops.  Each graduating class has a specific date for this meeting.  This message is to remind everyone of that meeting date and to contact the high school to reserve your meeting time.  All high school students are highly encouraged to their join parents as students will receive important training on their laptops at the same time parents meet with administration.

Technology fee payment options – each parent/student is required to pay the required technology fee of $100.00.  Parents can select one of three options listed below when making this payment:

 

  1. Payment can be made at any time prior to your training date in August.  Please submit a check to the main office, payable to Seneca High School/Technology Fee, in the amount of $100.00.  A receipt will be printed and prepared for you upon payment or when you attend the distribution meeting in August. 
  2. Payment can also be submitted with your registration payment.   We will process the additional cost and apply to the tech fee requirement and we will prepare a receipt for you on the night of our August meeting. 
  3. If the full payment cannot be made prior to, or on the night of the August meeting date, parents must contact Mr. Voiles to set up a payment plan meeting.  Mr. Voiles will work to establish a payment plan suitable for all families who select this option. 

 

NOTE:  students who have a remaining balance on the night of the August meeting will not be allowed to take the laptop computer home for use until the balance has been paid in full.  This stipulation will carry over during the school year until the full balance has been paid.
