After many trials and discussions, the Device selection committee has determined the ASUS VivoBook would best fit our needs and budget constraints. The following is from the ASUS website.

Why did we choose this device?

We made two technology sub committees, a policy and a device committee, both of them 5 people from different subject areas. One of the main goals is that the device had to last 4 years.  The device committee came up with the following features they wanted on a device:
