Mr. Mike Coughlin earned his undergraduate degree at Joliet Junior College and Illinois State University in Special Education. He began his teaching career in the Special Education Department at Seneca High School during the fall of the 1996–1997 school year.  Mr. Coughlin earned his Educational Administration degree from Governors State University in 2007. The 2021 - 2022 school year will be the 1st year in his current position as Principal at Seneca High School.

Mr. Coughlin enjoys watching all types of sporting events, reading and being outdoors. He enjoys spending time with his wife Carrie and their three daughters (Taelor, Terah and Michaela) and his three grandsons (Rhett, Brooks and Bennett).
