Sports Shuttle Bus 

This shuttle bus is set for the same time every day, however you MUST sign up in the office on a daily basis, by 2:00, to take it home. If no one is signed up for this shuttle bus it will be canceled by 2:15 every day.

NHS Members 

Senior NHS members--stop by the bulletin board and pick up information about the National Honor Society Scholarships. Don't delay. The application deadline is January 30th.


Class Ring Orders 

Dustin James, from Moments with Class, will be here on Monday, January 22nd, during all three lunches, to take any and all class ring orders.


Practice SAT 

There will be practice SAT testing for all juniors in the Auditorium on Friday, January 19th during 1A, 2A, and SST.


Young Philanthropy Meeting 

There will be a group meeting on Wednesday, January 17th, at 2:00 in the Auditorium


ARMY 

The Army will be in the Commons during all three lunches on Monday, February 5, 2018.


Exelon Career Presentation

 On Thursday, January 18th, Exelon will meet with all students interested in the Auditorium during SST to discuss all job opportunities they have to offer.

Join the GSA in celebrating no-name calling week, January 22nd through 26th! 
Monday: Wear Red or Orange
Tuesday: Wear Blue
Wednesday: Wear Green or Yellow
Thursday: Wear Purple
Friday: Wear Rainbow


Summer School Fliers 

Any student interested in taking Summer School classes this summer the classes available are as follows:
American Government
Economics
Driver's Education
Algebra I
Applications are available in the Guidance Office and must be returned with payment by March 23, 2018.


Irish Speech Team 

Congratulations the Irish Speech Team on their FIRST place team finish at the Sandwich Invitational on Saturday. 
Winners for the Irish:
Ali Fischer and Cody Bratcher were 5th in DDA
Trevor Till was 5th in Extemp and 4th in OD
Natalya Hatfield and Andrea Cruise were 6th in HDA
Silas and Eve Odum won 2nd in HDA
Mark Mehochko and A.J. Baker took 1st in HDA
Mark was also 5th in Impromptu
Alison Garbe was 6th in HI
Levi Maierhofer won 5th in HI
Faith Thrun took home a well-deserved 3rd place medal in OD
Taylor Vroman won 3rd place in Oratory
Sara Cahill had to miss awards to go play basketball, but still won 4th in Prose
Anna Roseland also placed in 6th in Prose
Rookie Ryan Sandness continues to tear up Radio Speaking, bringing home the 1st place plaque!
Jack Brudnak took 6th in Info speaking.
And topping off the day were our resident funny guys:
Tyler Chopp tied for 2nd in OC, and 
A.J. Baker won 1st place in Original Comedy!


GSA T-Shirts Are In 

Anyone that placed an order for one of the new GSA T-shirts please stop in the office any day this week after school and pick it up.


Varsity Scholastic Bowl 

Congratulations to the Varsity Scholastic Bowl team on their two wins over Reed Custer last night. The wins improve their record to 7-1 in conference play and 9-2 overall. Lane Weber led the Varsity attack with 6 toss-ups. AJ Baker and Ryan Sandness added 4, Jack Brudnak - 3, Faith Thrun and Kholton Kovall -2 with Paige Hepner and Paige Kovall adding 1 apiece. The JV team lost 2 close, hard fought matches bringing their I-8 record to 4-4 and 6-5 overall. Getting toss-ups were: Jacob Brown - 7, Neil Brudnak- 6, Levi Maierhofer - 3 and Marisa Dallacosta and Garrett Granby - 1 apiece. The teams travel to Wilmington on Thursday. Go Irish.

 Spanish Club

Spanish Club--Sign up on the bulletin board to see On Your Feet, the Broadway Musical about Gloria Estefan, on March 25th. Sign up and pay $10 to secure your spot by January 31st. We need 15 students paid in order to go.
