Rock Falls (soph) Comments

Saturday we made the long trip to Rock Falls for their annual shootout and played the host sophomores. The game was easily one of our best offensive games of the year as we did an excellent job of working against their full court and half court 1-2-2 zone defenses. The defensive struggles were obvious though against a very balanced team as we gave up 53 points to them. Despite the lapses, we were in the lead in the 4th quarter when two turnovers by us and two subsequent 3’s by them swung the points from us being ahead by 1 to being down by 5. After those possessions we were not able to come back. The kids played very hard and competed well against a talented group from Rock Falls.
