Dwight 1 (Frosh) Comments

We played a great first half and were able to jump out to a commanding lead. You have to give Dwight credit though, as they played much harder than us and dominated the second half. We had too many turnovers once Dwight started to gamble and play the passing lanes hard. It is at those times when we must take care of the ball, meet our passes, and take smart shots. These are the little things we emphasize every day in practice that end up making a big difference in games. Luckily we were able to execute at the end of the game and pulled out a victory, but more importantly, it was another good learning experience for us. A lot of our players got some valuable game experience in the Morris Tournament. Hopefully we all now are more aware of our deficiencies and are ready to get into practice and work hard to get better. Josh Cortez played a great game, and led the way for us with 10 points.
