This is the beginning of my fifth year as an English teacher at SHS. I graduated from Seneca High School in 1998 and attended Monmouth College, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in English in 2003. This May, I received a Master's in Education from National Louis University, for which I did an action research project focusing on high schoolers' motivation to write.
This year, I am teaching five sections of English IV and one section of Public Speaking. I'm also directing the fall musical (The Music Man) along with Mark Victor, coaching the Speech Team along with Marilee Applebee, co-sponsoring TRUST (with Chris Jackson) and Drama Club (with Marcia Machetta), and representing the English department on the School Improvement Committee.
I'm looking forward to a great year of teaching and learning!
