Mr. Wyman Olsen is starting his 32nd year teaching music education. He has taught 5 Years at Lawrenceburg High School in Lawrenceburg, Indiana; 8 years at Channahon Junior High School in Channahon, Illinois, and Seneca Township High School for the past 19 years. Mr. Olsen started his music teaching career as a band director where he took the Lawrenceburg Tiger Band to the 1977 Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena, California and the 1980 Cotton Bowl Parade in Dallas, Texas. A voice major in College, after many years directing bands he made the switch to vocal music at Seneca High School 15 years ago where he now teaches Chorus.
Mr. Olsen is a graduate of Marseilles High School in 1971. He attended VanderCook College of Music in Chicago where he received a Bachelor of Music Education Degree in 1975. Mr. Olsen "finally" received his Master of Education Degree from National Lewis University Education in 1996.
Mr. Olsen has coached Track and Field for the past 31 Years. 7th Grade Boys Basketball and Freshman Girls Basketball . Mr. Olsen is married to Linda for the past 31 years and has two grown children, Christine and John.
Mr. Olsen enjoys traveling during the summer to Maine where Linda's family lives. He also enjoys time with close friends and watching good college football games on a Saturday afternoon.
